Former NFL running back Eddie Lacy is facing drunken driving charges following his arrest late Monday night in Scottsdale, according to Scottsdale police.

The former Green Bay Packers running back was pulled over around 10:40 p.m. after officers responded to reports of a possible impaired driver and spotted a vehicle matching the description provided. Officers said they saw him commit several traffic violations.

He was charged with four separate DUI charges, including an extreme DUI charge involving a reported blood alcohol level of 0.20% or greater. He was also taken into custody for possession of an “open container in vehicle,” a Scottsdale police spokesman said.

Lacy, 34, played college football at Alabama from 2009 to 2012 and participated in three BCS national championships. He was named offensive MVP in the 2012 BCS championship game against Notre Dame.

In the 2013 NFL Draft, Lacy was selected in the second round by the Green Bay Packers. In his first year, he ran for nearly 1,200 yards with 11 touchdowns and was named the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Lacy played four seasons for Green Bay before signing a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017, playing in nine games (three starts).

No further details about his arrest were initially disclosed.
