“Foo Fighters withdraw from Soundside Music Festival, Jack White announced as replacement”

The post Foo Fighters withdraw from Soundside Music Festival, Jack White announced as replacement appeared first on Consequence.

The Foo Fighters pulled out of the Soundside Music Festival in Bridgeport, Connecticut just days before the event was due to begin. Fortunately, the organizers found a worthy last-minute replacement in Jack White.

No specific reason was given for Foo Fighters’ cancellation, but earlier this month frontman Dave Grohl announced that he had recently become the father of a “new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.” The band was scheduled to headline the festival on Sunday, September 29th.

White will take the Foo Fighters’ Sunday night slot. Additionally, Greta Van Fleet has been added to Soundside’s Sunday lineup. Other confirmed acts that day include Bleachers, Norah Jones, Gregory Alan Isakov and Hurray for the Riff Raff. The Queens of the Stone Age had previously canceled their planned appearance on Sunday due to frontman Josh Homme’s health problems.

Saturday’s lineup includes Noah Kahan as the headliner, as well as Fleet Foxes, Grace Potter, Goo Goo Dolls, Boyz II Men, Thee Sacred Souls, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram and more.

One- and two-day tickets for the Soundside Music Festival are currently available here.
