Five Tennessee schools are on the Princeton Review’s list of best colleges

The Princeton Review has released its list of top colleges for 2025 and five universities from Tennessee made the list.

The private company, which is not affiliated with Princeton University, offers educational services such as test prep, admissions assistance and rankings of popular colleges. The latest rankings, released Tuesday, were accompanied by several category lists and a book titled “The Best 390 Colleges.”

“The colleges we feature in our book are truly a select group: They represent about 15% of America’s four-year institutions,” said Rob Franek, the book’s author and editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review, in a press release. “We chose them primarily because of our high opinion of their academic offerings.”

A total of 168,000 students from 390 universities took part in a survey with 89 questions on academic studies, administration, campus life, fellow students and personal experiences.
