The international break brought some bad injury news, with Fermín López set to miss the next two to three weeks with a thigh injury. He joins Ronald Araujo (thigh), Andreas Christensen (achilles), Frenkie de Jong (ankle) and Marc Bernal (knee) on the treatment table. Gavi (knee) and Ansu Fati (foot) are back in training but not yet cleared, although both are expected to be cleared sometime this month. Dani Olmo is in the squad after suffering an injury scare on Spain duty, and Barça Atletico Sensation Guille Fernández is called up to the national team for the first time to strengthen the midfield.
