Ethan Page vs. Joe Hendry Result

Ethan Page and Joe Hendry headlined WWE NXT No Mercy as Page put the NXT Championship on the line.

In the main event of WWE NXT No Mercy, Ethan Page defended the NXT title against TNA star Joe Hendry. Former NXT Champion Trick Williams was the special referee for the match.

Hendry threw everything he had at Page. They continued to fight back and forth. In the final moments, Page shoved Hendry into Williams, sending him out of the ring. Hendry dodged a belt shot as Page tried to hit him with the title. Page hit Hendry with a DDT on the title, but Williams prevented the pin. Page tried to hit Williams, but Williams ducked, allowing Page to hit the substitute referee. The champion then hit Hendry below the belt and hit the Ego’s Edge for the win.

After the bell, Pete Dunne surprised Williams and attacked him.

Page pushes Hendry into Williams. Williams is thrown out of the ring. Page drops Hendry to a standing ovation.

Another referee runs to the ring to count. Hendry kicks out. Page brings the NXT Championship into the ring. Hendry and Page fight. Page hits Hendry with a DDT on the championship. Before the new referee can count to three, Williams slides into the ring and interrupts the new referee’s count. Page punches at Williams. Williams ducks, so Page knocks the new referee down. While Williams checks on the other referee, Page hits Hendry with a low blow and the Ego’s Edge. Williams seethes as he counts to three.
