Drake London sets milestone with win in Week 5

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London reached another milestone on Thursday night with the Falcons’ 36-30 victory over the visiting Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The former USC wide receiver recorded 100 or more receiving yards in his third career game against the Buccaneers. It’s the fourth overall game of London’s career since he was selected No. 8 overall by the Falcons in which he has reached the same mark.

London finished the game with 12 receptions for 154 yards and a touchdown, an average of 12.8 yards per catch. There was some doubt that he would come anywhere close to that number when he had to exit the game early with a possible head injury after rushing for just 38 yards.

This is by far London’s best game of the season. Last week, he finished the 26-24 win over the New Orleans Saints with six catches for 64 yards in one of his only two games this season without a touchdown reception.

His highest receiving yards game this season since he totaled 67 receiving yards against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Falcons’ 22-17 loss at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

This season he now has 32 catches on 44 targets with 354 receiving yards and two touchdowns. London will look to continue in that vein when the Falcons take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 6.
