Donald Trump’s crush on David Muir appears to be finally over

Donald Trump’s apparent soft spot for ABC News anchor David Muir appears to have intensified following allegations that the former president planned to sue the television star for defamation after the second presidential debate.

While Trump dismissed the potential lawsuit in a Truth Social post on Saturday, he called Muir a “light host” of “ABC FAKE NEWS, perhaps the worst and most dishonorable station in broadcasting!”

The former president also claimed that he “handily won” his September 10 debate against Kamala Harris, although post-debate statistics showed that most voters watched the face-off with a different opinion.

Trump’s alleged intention to sue Muir was first reported by Puck’s Tara Palmeri, who said sources mentioned that the former president was “still reflecting on what he felt was unfair treatment during the first debate,” and “told people about his plans” to file a civil complaint against the station.

On Friday, Republican presidential candidate dismissed Palmeri’s information and articles, calling her report “FAKE NEWS.”

“I’m not suing David Muir! I should sue him, but I don’t have enough time – I’m too busy winning the election,” he said on Truth Social.

Trump’s anger at Muir began shortly after the September 10 debate, which he described as “THREE ON ONE” after fact-checking for several false statements. He accused Muir and fellow anchor Linsey Davis of bringing “disgrace to the company” and called on ABC News to fire “everyone” associated with the on-air event.

As for Muir specifically, the former president told rally-goers two days after the spectacle that he would no longer pay attention to the emcee because “he’s not reputable,” claiming Muir’s hair “isn’t as good as it used to be.” “.

However, during the same campaign event, Trump admitted that he “always liked” his now-nemesis. Before the ABC News debate, MAGA insiders said the former president’s affinity for Muir was due to the host’s ratings dominance and his good looks.

A former ABC News employee claimed he heard Trump call Muir “handsome.” Longtime Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway described the moderator as “central casting for Donald Trump.”

Amid the MAGA world criticism, Muir dismissed the firestorm of hate as “noise.”
