Dolphins WR leaves MNF vs. Titans game

Bad news has already hit the Miami Dolphins Monday Night Football even started when Jeff Wilson Jr. injured his knee. Now the news is no better for the offense.

The Dolphins are not playing good football tonight. In fact, you could say they looked better against the Seattle Seahawks last week, if that’s even possible. To make matters worse, they may have lost star wide receiver Jaylen Waddle.

Waddle left the field late in the second quarter and was seen limping on the sideline. It’s not clear what the problem might be, but he wasn’t in the game on the Dolphins’ next series.

Jaylen Waddle returns in the second half with a taped ankle

The good news is that Waddle is back in the game, but according to Chris Perkins, his left ankle is taped.

Jaylen Waddle hobbles on the sideline against the Titans

According to David Furones of the Sun Sentinel, Waddle was seen limping on the sideline. It is something that needs to be monitored.

The Tennessee Titans are not afraid of the Dolphins’ outside speed and have stacked the line to take away their running game, forcing head coach Mike McDaniel to rely on the arm and vision of Tyler Huntley. So far it’s working because the Dolphins aren’t generating anything offensively.

Without Waddle on the field, the Titans have one less thing to worry about and Miami may not be able to move the football.

Waddle had two catches for 18 yards on the night and was not on the field for the final drive of the first half. Without Waddle, the Dolphins run Dee Eskridge, who impresses no one with his route running.

Huntley looks just as lost as you’d expect, and the excitement fans were hoping for is far from true. Miami is failing in all aspects of offensive gameplay, and the only reason it’s still in the game is because the Titans are just as inept.

If this continues, McDaniel should consider a quarterback change, but with Waddle out, Tyreek Hill can’t lead the way and the running game will be stifled.
