Diddy’s kids reveal the truth about their late mother’s ‘memoirs’

The children of Sean “Diddy” Combs and Kim Porter have condemned as “simply untrue” a publisher’s claim that their late mother wrote a 60-page, allegedly leaked memoir.

The Daily Mail reported that Chris Todd, who lives in Los Angeles, published the memoir in early September after receiving a USB stick containing Porter’s writings from “close friends.” The book, titled KIM’S LOST WORDS: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side under the pseudonym Jamal T Millwood, has fueled rumors about Diddy’s sex tapes and Porter’s sudden death in 2018.

Christian “King” Combs, twins D’Lila and Jessie, and Quincy Brown, the son of Porter and singer Al B. Sure!, posted a long statement on Instagram asking for more “respect” toward their late mother.

“We have heard so many hurtful and false rumors about our parents, Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship, as well as the tragic death of our mother, that we feel the need to speak out,” the statement said.

“Claims that our mother has written a book are simply false. She has not, and anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Please also understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mother or her family is not a friend, nor does he have her best interests at heart.”

The statement also appeared to address Al B. Sure!’s calls for Porter’s death to be investigated. The R&B singer, whose real name is Albert Joseph Brown, said the claims in the book were “false” and the publicists involved also needed to be investigated.

Porter’s children said: “Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world and nothing has been the same since her death. Although it has been incredibly difficult to understand how she could have been taken from us so young, the cause of death has long been established. There was no foul play. Grief is a lifelong process and we ask that everyone respect our wish for peace as we continue to deal with her loss every day.”

“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle out of the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered as the beautiful, strong, kind and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tarnished by horrific conspiracy theories. We ask that everyone respect our mother Kim Porter and honor her legacy so she can rest in peace. She deserves it. We love and miss you, Mom. Quincy, Christian, Jessie & D’Lila.”

Porter’s cause of death was given as lobar pneumonia after she was found dead in her home in Toluca Lake, California, six years ago.

Diddy was arrested in Manhattan last Tuesday. A New York indictment accuses the rapper of “forming a criminal organization whose members and associates engaged in or attempted to engage in, among other things, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice.”
