What you should know about the Georgia high school shooting
Four people were killed and nine injured in a shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder, Georgia, yesterday. It is the worst of 45 school shootings in the United States this year.
What you should know: The suspected shooter, a 14-year-old student at the school, is being charged with murder as an adult. Local schools will remain closed this week while the investigation continues. (Yahoo News)
The victims: Students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo and math teachers Richard Aspinwall and Christina Irimie were named as victims of the attack. The injured were taken to hospitals and are expected to recover soon. (CNN)
Early signs: Last year, local police questioned the suspected gunman in connection with a school shooting that featured photos of guns. The suspect denied any involvement at the time. (NBC News)
