The UK release date for A Quiet Place: Day One has been confirmed. This is a win for UK fans as we get the film a little earlier than in the US.
The film will be released on 27 Juneone day before its release across the pond.
The good news was announced in an Instagram post in which star Lupita Nyong’o taps the screen and asks you to be quiet. “We couldn’t keep this to ourselves,” the caption reads. “Tickets for #AQuietPlace: Day One are now officially on sale. See it in theaters June 27th.”

As the title suggests, this film is a prequel to John Krasinski’s films. It shows what happens right at the beginning of the downfall of humanity due to the alien invasion.
Set in New York City, the film follows Nyong’o’s character Sam as she tries to survive and find her way out of the city, while Djimon Hounsou reprises his role from the second film, a character we now know as Henri. Joseph Quinn from Stranger Things is also one of the main cast members.
Nyong’o previously explained what sets this film apart from the others: “When you have a family, there’s a natural expectation that people want to stick together.”

“That’s not the case in this film. We have these different individuals who come into each other’s lives at a crucial time for the world. How do they manage to survive together? What we get is a really interesting – and even surprising – chemistry between the characters who meet over time.”
Krasinski helped develop the story of this prequel, but he handed over the directing duties to Michael Sarnoski, who previously directed the well-received film “Pig.”
A Quiet Place: Day One was released on June 27 in the UK and June 28 in the US.
