Dave Bautista made a stunning entrance as he walked the red carpet for his latest film, “The Last Showgirl,” at the Toronto International Film Festival on Friday. The former wrestler and actor, best known for his role as Drax the Destroyer in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” wore a tailored silhouette inspired by his role as soft-hearted Vegas show producer Eddie in the film starring Pamela Anderson.
Bautista wore the black Gucci GG cotton-viscose suit and pants on the red carpet. The cotton-viscose blend suit, which Bautista previously wore for an appearance on Watch What Happens Live in July, features a subtle sheen and an all-over logo. He completed the look with a dark gray boat-neck shirt under the jacket and shiny black dress shoes.
He paired the breathable suit with a range of accessories. He wore Gucci sunglasses and wore four pearl necklaces around his neck. The necklaces also featured sections of three diamonds, adding a shimmering touch to the pearly shine.
He also wore a silver watch on one wrist and a gold diamond-studded bracelet by Jason of Beverly Hills, with whom Bautista had previously collaborated, on the other. He paired this gold bracelet with an identical one in silver.
Bautista has favored Gucci for some time, particularly the brand’s patterned jackets. He wore a cream version to the premiere of “Dune: Part Two” in February. On “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” last month, he wore the Gucci Horsebit wool-silk jacquard jacket from the Cruise 2024 collection in burgundy. While promoting both “The Last Showgirl” and “The Killer’s Game” throughout the summer, he was spotted wearing the brand’s metallic jacquard-cotton-blend cardigan.
Bautista’s co-stars Pamela Anderson, Kiernan Shipka and Brenda Song also opted for all-black ensembles. Anderson deconstructed Sin City’s Rat Pack glamour in a black suit with feminine accents, complete with pointy heels.
Jamie Lee Curtis added a splash of Vegas red with her sheer long-sleeved blouse tucked into a black pencil skirt.
Shipka, who plays one of Anderson’s protégés in the film, also keeps the showgirl theme going with a black halter dress from the Elle Saab Resort 2025 collection, featuring a crochet bodice and open back.
Song, who plays one of Anderson’s “girls” alongside Shipka, wore a floor-length dress with laser cutouts at each hip. Chain-like crystals attached to the bodice gave the ensemble a certain showgirl glitz.
Directed by Gia Coppola, “The Last Showgirl” is about a seasoned Las Vegas showgirl who experiences dramatic changes in her life after her show unexpectedly ends after 30 years.
