Dallas Cowboys injuries spark discussion and speculation – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

With Thursday night’s win against the Giants still fresh in many minds, the talk of the town, or at least the talk in the 105.3 The Fan Studio on Friday, was a successful defense.

“I am with you. The Cowboys’ run defense was much, much better. “Now can you translate that to a team that will challenge you with Justin Fields and a running quarterback?” said Zach Wolchuk.

It’s a challenge that may have become even more difficult with the news Friday that linebacker Micah Parsons and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence will miss field time due to injuries they sustained Thursday night.

“That’s the hard part of the National Football League. When you start a season, you know there are going to be injuries,” said former Cowboys scout Bryan Broaddus.

Broaddus said the next week and possibly more won’t be easy, but the team has prepared.

“You will have people ready to go straight away. Is it the quality and level of what you lose? Probably not. But still, it’s just part of it and you know it and move on,” he said.

How this will impact a season where fans have already expressed their disappointment remains to be seen. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, Broaddus said the team needs to remain focused on the upcoming game no matter who is in the game.

“You have to do what you believe in and continue on that path. “You can’t let outside influences dictate the way you lead your team,” he said.
