Colts place CB JuJu Brents on the injured list and sign CB Chris Lammons from the practice squad to the 53-man roster

Indianapolis – The Indianapolis Colts today promoted cornerback Chris Lammons from the practice squad to their 53-man roster and placed cornerback JuJu Brents on the injured list.

Lammons, 5-10, 190 pounds, was originally signed as a free agent by Indianapolis on July 27, 2023. He has played in 47 career games (one start) during his time with the Colts (2023-24), Kansas City Chiefs (2019-22), Miami Dolphins (2018-19), New Orleans Saints (2018) and Atlanta Falcons (2018). Lammons has collected 22 tackles (11 solo), four passes defensed, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and 10 special teams stops. He has also appeared in three postseason games and recorded two special teams tackles. In 2024, Lammons appeared in Week 1 against Houston.

Brents, 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, has played in 10 games (nine starts) with the Colts over two seasons (2023-24), totaling 49 tackles (33 solo), six passes defensed, one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one special teams stop. He was selected by the team in the second round (44th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Kansas State. In 2024, Brents started in Week 1 against Houston and recorded seven tackles (three solo).
