The Cleveland Guardians and Los Angeles Dodgers will end their series in Southern California on Sunday, with both sending two of their best pitchers to the field to gain momentum for the home stretch of the season.

In his six starts with the Dodgers, Flaherty allowed three runs or fewer in five of them, with at least five strikeouts in each start. In his time with Detroit, he allowed three runs or fewer in eight of his last nine starts.

Tanner Bibee starts for Cleveland. Bibee has a 3.56 ERA with 9.8 strikeouts and 2.3 walks per nine innings. His best performance has come on the road, as his ERA has dropped from 4.54 at home to 2.71 on the road.

Both teams support their starting pitchers with great bullpen pitching. The Guardians lead the baseball league with a bullpen ERA of 2.76. The Dodgers are in fifth place with a bullpen ERA of 3.62 on Saturday.

Since the All-Star break, the Guardians rank 25th in the league with four runs scored per game, while the Dodgers rank third in the National League with nearly 5.1 runs per game during that time.

Although the Dodgers’ offense is one of the best in baseball, Home Run Derby champion Teoscar Hernandez was injured in Friday’s game. With pitchers on both sides being excellent, Sunday will be a pitching duel.
