Cincinnati Home and Garden Show canceled for 2025

The Cincinnati Home and Garden Show has been officially canceled for 2025.

Production company Marketplace Events said in a statement that it was unable to find another venue for next year’s show.

The event is typically held each February at the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati, which is currently undergoing a $200 million renovation.

“After an extensive search, we ultimately determined that alternative venues did not offer adequate space or suitable dates for a two-week show,” said Tom Baugh, vice president of Marketplace Events. “This led to our decision to wait until we can produce the high-quality show that the Greater Cincinnati community knows and expects.”

The cancellation followed Marketplace Events’ threat to pull out of the area for two years because the convention center would be closed during construction. The Enquirer reported last summer that MarketPlace was shocked by the decision by Cincinnati Center City Development Corp., which is managing the project, to close the venue entirely.

Construction of the convention center began in July and it will reopen in January 2026.

According to a press release, exhibitors who had already registered for the cancelled trade fair will automatically be transferred to 2026, when the trade fair will take place again in the congress centre over two weekends.

Marketplace Events also hosts the Greater Cincinnati Holiday Market, November 8-10, 2024, at the Sharonville Convention Center.
