Children’s event on the theme of “Candyland” takes place in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – The upcoming Bridgeport Children’s Event promises to be a fun experience, and organizers are still looking for businesses or community groups to participate!

According to the City of Bridgeport, Adventures in Candyland will take place on Saturday, October 12th from 1-3 p.m. at the Bridge Baseball Complex.

The event is aimed at children aged 2 to 10 and admission is free.

Kids stop by the check-in table to pick up their game board, which they can use to navigate the majestic grounds. They can stop at any station on the board to participate in activities and collect candy along the way!

Costumes are welcome and when you complete your game board you will receive a prize at the end.

Organizers said they are still looking for additional businesses or community groups to host a station, which includes decorations, staff, an activity and a give-a-way (promotional items and/or treats). Gummy Hills, Peanut Acres, Jellybean Junction, Licorice Lagoon, Chocolate Swamp and Candy Castle are still available!

Set-up for businesses and groups begins at 11 a.m. The event will take place regardless of weather and may be moved from the baseball complex to the Citynet Center if necessary, organizers said.
