Signs around the United Center indicate that parking restrictions will be in effect from 8 a.m. through August 25.

One of these signs was hanging on a tree near Paulina and Washington.

However, the signs do not give residents any instructions on where to drive their cars.

The first round of parking restrictions came into effect on Monday.

Please observe the parking restriction notices. Vehicles not removed from the road by the specified date and time will be fined and towed.

An 8-foot-high barrier fence was erected around the United Center and McCormick Place, stretching for a few blocks in each direction.

Anyone living in or planning to visit the affected areas should be prepared for closures and parking restrictions over the next week.

According to official information, everyone should also allow enough time for the journey.

Authorities said they will begin enforcing safety restrictions and street closures around McCormick Place on Friday night and around the United Center on Saturday night.
