Chelsea 5-0 Barrow AFC, League Cup: Post-match reactions, ratings

Chelsea were clear favourites against fourth division side Barrow AFC and we lived up to those expectations with a comfortable win, securing our place in the fourth round of the League Cup.

After a few careless mistakes in the opening minutes, Chelsea got going quickly, scoring a goal within ten minutes, doubling their lead after a quarter of an hour (both by Christopher Nkunku) and increasing their lead to 3-0 after half an hour with an own goal. We seemed quite happy with that for the first 45 minutes.

Chelsea also came out of the break strongly and quickly scored their fourth goal, with Pedro Neto scoring his first for the club.

We put Barrow under a little pressure in the closing stages of the game but managed to keep a clean sheet… while at the other end we missed a couple of good chances, including one from young Tyrique George. But Nkunku was able to complete his hat-trick after a stupid mistake from the Barrow goalkeeper

Job done.
