Changes to the Jefferson Parish Mardi Gras Parade 2025 Program | Mardi Gras

It’s still nearly six months before Mardi Gras parades begin on Veterans Memorial Boulevard and other routes in Jefferson Parish, but suburban Mardi Gras clubs are already lining up to get on the 2025 calendar.

Fans of the Parish Mardi Gras will notice some changes.

Additions:

The little rascals — After a year-long hiatus following the death of its co-founder, the children’s parade will return and begin the season at noon on Sunday, Feb. 16, on the Veterans Boulevard route, said float builder Mac Cantrell.

Krewe of Kings – According to Cantrell, captain of the carnival company, the Kings will compete for the first time since 2020, following the Centurions on Lundi Gras, Monday, March 3, at 6 p.m. at the Veterans.

Loss:

Culinary Queens of New Orleans – the culinary procession was scheduled to take place in Marrero last year but was cancelled. Former carnival captain Akasia Lee-Nicholas confirmed that the queens would not compete in 2025.
