Chael Sonnen drops a truth bomb on Alex Pereira fans ahead of UFC 307

Chael Sonnen revealed what might work against Alex Pereira ahead of UFC 307.

Pereira will put the UFC light heavyweight championship on the line against Khalil Rountree this Saturday night in Salt Lake City. “Poatan” is looking for his third successful light heavyweight title defense.

While Pereira is the favorite in this fight, some believe it could be a trap fight as Rountree also has the ability to turn anyone’s lights out.

Even though Sonnen doesn’t scream “angry” at the top of his lungs, he can see how things can work against Pereira.

So is Alex Pereira heading into a trap fight? During a recent episode of ESPN’s Good Guy/Bad Guy, Chael Sonnen told Daniel Cormier that there are some clues that could suggest a surprise is brewing.

“Everything that could be wrong for Pereira, considering the commonalities that everyone has ever been upset with, has experienced: finding himself in a game that is more difficult than the audience knows, finding himself in a game that is more dangerous “When you realize you’re finding yourself in a match where this guy is going to play your game and I’m talking about the big, heavy blows to the feet.”

Sonnen praised Rountree’s ability to finish fights and he doesn’t believe Pereira was completely unhinged at any point.

“I’m not saying Khalil is cleaner or a more talented kickboxer than Pereira, but I will argue for you. Pereira can hit you once and knock you down, Khalil only has to hit him once and Khalil will knock him down.” .”

Sonnen has simply seen and danced to this song enough to know that things can quickly go wrong for the poster boy.

“Every surprise has a few things in common,” Sonnen said. “You have to keep an eye on this fight.”
