Caitlin Clark has done it again.

The sensational Indiana Fever rookie player broke the WNBA single-season record with her 317th assist of her rookie season on Friday against the Las Vegas Aces.

Clark, on the other hand, saw a landmark season record fall the last time the two teams met just two days ago. On Wednesday, Aces veteran A’ja Wilson broke the league’s single-season scoring record with 956 points in an 86-75 win over Las Vegas.

Previously, fellow rookie Angel Reese broke the WNBA record for most rebounds in a season. Reese broke that record in the Chicago Sky’s 79-74 loss to Minnesota on Sept. 1, when she surpassed Sylvia Fowles’ record of 404 set in 2018.

But Clark reclaimed the spotlight on Friday night.

Last Friday, Clark sank her 103rd three-pointer of the season against the Minnesota Lynx, putting her at the top of the Fever’s all-time list for most three-pointers made in a single season.

Just a few days earlier, she had made her 100th three-pointer of the season during the Fever’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks, reaching that milestone faster than any other player in league history.

She was also the first rookie and fifth WNBA player to record more than a triple-double in a season. The recently retired Candace ParkerCourtney Williams, Sabrina Ionescu and Alyssa Thomas are the other players in the exclusive club.

A week earlier, Clark scored the 595th point of her career against the Dallas Wings, surpassing WNBA legend Tamika Catchings as the best rookie player in a single season. Fever history.

In her final game against Reese and the Sky on August 30, Clark became the first team in the WNBA to record 30 points and 12 assists, becoming the fifth player and first rookie to record at least 30 points and 10 assists in a game. In addition, Clark has now recorded 12 double-doubles, breaking the WNBA record for most double-doubles by a guard in a single season.

Just three days earlier, Clark set the record for most three-point shots by a rookie, surpassing the record originally set by Atlanta Dreams Rhyne Howard. She sank 3 of 12 three-pointers and had 19 points, five rebounds and five assists as Indiana earned its 15th win.

That same night, Clark also became the first WNBA player to record at least 15 points, five rebounds and five assists in six consecutive WNBA games. It was her 10th consecutive game with at least 15 points and five rebounds, putting her in the elite club with Diana Taurasi.

Clark led the Fever to the playoffs for the first time in eight years.
