“Bruins’ projected lines, defensive pairings for Panthers matchup”.

The Bruins will begin their 2024-25 season on Tuesday, renewing their rivalry with the Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena.

Boston will add many new faces to the lineup, including Elias Lindholm, Max Jones, Mark Kastelic, Cole Koepke, Nikita Zadorov and Joonas Korpisalo, all making their debut in the black and gold. Korpisalo will watch the net over Jeremy Swayman, who needs some time after resolving his contract issues earlier in the week.

The B’s will have a chance for revenge after their last two seasons ended at the hands of the Panthers.

“I wouldn’t say it’s going to be more special, but it’s definitely going to be more intense,” Bruins captain Brad Marchand said after Tuesday’s morning skate, according to a video provided by the team. “It’s a great opportunity to pit two of the best teams in the league against each other… we’ll be excited to get going there. They’re obviously going to have a blast at the festivities they’re having tonight. It will definitely be a very intense game.”

Florida will also introduce some new names, including old friends Jesper Boqvist and AJ Greer.

The Bruins and Panthers are scheduled to drop the puck at 7:00 p.m. ET, but things are expected to be pushed back as the hometown team celebrates its Stanley Cup victory. Boston begins its season on ESPN and returns to NESN on Thursday.
