Brooks Nader And Gleb Savchenko are not afraid to rely on their chemistry when it comes to their performance Dancing with the stars.
“I think when you have that energy in real life, it’s easy to bring it to the dance floor every week,” Nader, 27, said exclusively We weekly on Tuesday, 17 September, after a tango performance for Britney Spears“Piece of Me” with Savchenko.
The couple received a score of 18 out of 30 from the judges, which Nader said contributed to a “healthy, flirtatious mood” in conversation with co-host. Julianne Hough.
“That’s going to be a theme for the whole season. But it’s a huge bonus if you really care about your partner,” the model told us. “You have to be sweaty and sit on them all day long, for five hours. Every day – not just on show day. So it’s kind of nice that you like each other.”
Savchenko, 41, agrees that forming a bond has boosted her performance.
“We both love to dance,” he noted. “(We also) bonded over TikToks. We started making a lot of TikToks. We were like, ‘Why don’t we just do it?’ And then we rocked it.”
Their friendship has now developed to the point where Nader celebrated his birthday with Savchenko.
“She got me a cake and then sang ‘Happy Birthday’. I was very blessed. It was so beautiful,” Savchenko gushed, while Nader added that all of her sisters were also there for the special occasion.
Nader and Savchenko’s mutual trust was clearly evident on the dance floor – and they are excited to continue to prove themselves in front of the jury, who gave them three sixes.
“I’m kind of a perfectionist. I thought it was cool that they all had the same number. It was kind of witchy,” Nader said of the final score during the season 33 premiere. “There’s something cool about that. But I’d like it to be a little higher.”
While Nader is looking forward to “improving,” Savchenko is less concerned about his first success.
“When I was backstage (judge) Carrie Ann (Inaba) stopped me and said: “You have such great potential. Your lines were great,” Savchenko said to Nader during the joint interview with Us. “She really liked your tango. She complimented you on your figure, your lines and your legs.”
Savchenko is more focused on the progress he and Nader want to make, adding: “Sometimes the results are good. And six is a good result in the first week. That keeps us stable and somewhere in the middle of the pack. But in my opinion we could have done all seven. I think she did a great job. It is what it is – there is always room for improvement.”
Dancing with the stars airs simultaneously on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Episodes can be streamed the next day on Hulu and Disney+.
