Bronny James is expected to make his preseason debut with the Lakers

Bronny James Jr. will make his preseason debut on Friday when the Los Angeles Lakers play the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“Of course there are nerves,” James told reporters on Friday. “That’s part of everything, but I’m just excited to go out there and learn from the people playing in front of me.”

James was drafted in the second round with the 55th overall pick in the 2024 draft by USC.

The guard competed in the NBA Summer League wearing a Lakers jersey in July and recovered from a slow start.

James averaged 8.8 points, 3.5 rebounds and assists in four games played.

Bronny is expected to likely come off the bench to start the Lakers’ preseason. He started for the Lakers during Summer League in July.
