British tennis player Jack Draper has reached his first Grand Slam semi-final after defeating number 10 seed Alex de Minaur in straight sets at the US Open.
In a dominant performance, he defeated Australian de Minaur 6:3, 7:5 and 6:2 and is now in the last four.
The 22-year-old has not lost a set in this tournament so far.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Draper said: “It’s incredible. To be honest, being out here playing my first game on the biggest pitch in the world is a dream come true for me.”
“It means the world to me.”
He continued: “I think I played a solid game. I feel fitter than I have in a long time and I think that’s what Alex has brought me in the past.
“I also think that he may have been struggling with something a little bit today, which may have helped me a little bit.
“But you have to give credit to Alex, he’s an incredible fighter and an incredible player and we have many more fights ahead of us.”
