Our verdict will be based on several factors including style, quality, portion, taste and overall impression. We will review two breakfast dishes from each restaurant.
We continue our first season down in the mountains of the lower Lebanon Valley. Nestled among the tall trees of Mount Gretna is Porch & Pantry. This restaurant serves breakfast and brunch and offers indoor and patio seating.

The menu is seasonal and includes several popular dishes, including omelets, quiches and pancakes, as well as several vegetarian and gluten-free options.
Our picks for this morning are the Left Coast Enchilada ($15.50) and McSticky ($15.50).
The enchilada is served with scrambled eggs, homemade potatoes, crispy bacon, and cheddar jack cheese in a flour tortilla and topped with a southwestern hollandaise sauce and cilantro. This enchilada is full-sized. The hollandaise sauce has a good southwestern flavor. The ratio of potatoes to protein was a little unbalanced; we always like more bacon. The fresh cilantro adds a really special flavor to the bite.
The McSticky is a homemade sticky bun with scrambled eggs, bacon and cheddar jack cheese served with homemade potatoes. We were lucky to get this one, it sounded like we got the second to last sticky bun of the day. A classic breakfast sandwich that is gooey when you pick it up but is a delicious bite that is well balanced between sweet and savory. Halfway through the meal we actually had to use a fork and knife to eat it.
The potatoes go perfectly with the homemade hot sauce that can be found on every table.
Did we just have the best breakfast in the valley?
Next, we travel to our final entrant: Lebanon Valley Craft Brewery. After that, we’ll announce our winner.
