Our verdict will be based on several factors including style, quality, portion, taste and overall impression. We will review two breakfast dishes from each restaurant.
We’re finishing our first season in the north town of Lebanon. The historic brewery on N. 7th Street is home to Lebanon Valley Craft Brewery. This restaurant serves breakfast on weekends only.

The menu includes omelets, eggs Benedict and French toast. Alcoholic breakfast cocktails are also on the menu.
Our picks for this morning are the Meat Lover’s Omelet ($12) and Bacon Jam Benedict ($12). We also had the Spiced Up Coffee ($8) and the Swatara Sunrise ($10). The Meat Lover’s Omelet comes with ham, bacon, sausage, choice of cheese, home fried potatoes (with or without onions), and toast.
The omelette was hearty, but the meat in it seemed to be mostly ham. The fried potatoes are in the style of Dutch fries, not what we usually find here.
The Bacon Jam Benedict consists of two poached eggs on an English muffin with bacon jam, Monterey Jack cheese and fried potatoes. This dish is really delicious. The English muffin is very fluffy, almost like a biscuit. It worked very well for us and we will try it again.
Did we just have the best breakfast in the valley?
We will now compare our scorecards, count our votes and announce our winner soon.
