PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office received a bomb threat Friday. The threat targeted PBSO facilities near its headquarters on Gun Club Road in West Palm Beach and resulted in mass evacuations. No bomb was found. PBSO issued the following statement to BocaNewsNow.com:
At approximately 1:50 p.m., the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) dispatch center received a call reporting a bomb threat. PBSO dispatched multiple units to investigate, including the bomb squad, our helicopter, explosive detection dogs, and all available patrol officers.
All PBSO facilities on Gun Club Road in West Palm Beach between Congress Avenue and Kirk Road were immediately evacuated. The Palm Beach District Courts on Gun Club Road were also evacuated while the PBSO Corrections Division sheltered in place.
By 3:30 p.m., the thorough investigation was completed and all locations were safe and able to resume regular operations.
