Ben Pingree announced as new deputy director of Tallahassee Airport

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – After nearly nine years as a high-ranking government official in Tallahassee, Ben Pingree will become the next deputy director of the Aviation Authority at the City of Tallahassee International Airport.

County Administrator Vince Long announced the personnel change in an email to commissioners on Friday.

In the email, Long named Nawfal Ezzagaghi as the next deputy county administrator while also recognizing Pingree’s contributions to Leon County.

“Ben has decades of experience leading large infrastructure and economic development projects, as well as navigating and leveraging complex local, state and federal financing opportunities to bring major projects to fruition,” Long wrote. “This is his true passion and fits with the airport’s ambitious plans.”

Pingree comes to TLH at a crucial time, as JetBlue announced its withdrawal from the airport last month.
