Ben Affleck enjoyed lunch with his children Samuel and Seraphina in Los Angeles on Friday before the premiere of his production company’s new film “Unstoppable” at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
The Good Will Hunting actor was seen getting some fresh air in a casual outfit consisting of dark grey jeans and a plain white t-shirt along with Nike sneakers. He also showed off his typical stern face.
His youngest son, 12-year-old Samuel, wore an even more relaxed outfit, opting for blue plaid pajama pants and a gray and blue Yale T-shirt.
The actor’s middle child, Seraphina, wore a funky ensemble of beige cargo shorts and a blue crew neck sweater that read “FARM CAMP.” Seraphina completed the look with mismatched socks, black sneakers, and a black crossbody bag.
Seraphina, who has an older sister Violet (18) with Samuel, wore a similar outfit when she got ice cream with Samuel and Affleck in August.
Although he co-produces “Unstoppable” with longtime best friend Matt Damon, Page Six confirmed that Affleck would not attend the TIFF premiere on Friday due to his ongoing divorce from Lopez.
Lopez, 55, plays a supporting role in the film and dazzled on the TIFF red carpet on Friday night in a sparkling silver Tamara Ralph dress that featured a wide slit on both sides.
Her appearance was her first major public appearance since filing for divorce from the “Argo” star on August 20.
She appeared cheerful at the premiere and even joked with her co-star Bobby Cannavale that she was a “bad collector”.
Her comment could be seen as a dig at 52-year-old Affleck, but it may also have been a self-deprecating joke from the “Dance Again” singer, as she has been engaged six times and married four times.
Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on the second anniversary of their stunning wedding ceremony in Georgia.
They hosted the lavish celebration after their secret wedding in Las Vegas in July 2022.
The “Marry Me” star cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation and set April 26 as the official separation date.
Sources close to the singer told Page Six after her divorce that she tried everything in her power to save her crumbling marriage to Affleck, but her efforts were in vain because Affleck did not believe in the “great love” she felt.
“Ben has a dark side to him that no one else can heal,” an insider added. “(His ex-wife, actress) Jen Garner couldn’t change that, all the success in the world couldn’t change that.”
In May, Page Six learned that he was ready to end the marriage.
“If there was a way to divorce on the grounds of temporary insanity, he would do it,” our insider noted.
“He feels like the last two years have been a fever dream, but now he’s come to his senses and understands that this is just not going to work.”
