HOLLYWOOD, FLA. (WSVN) – A repeat offender was once again caught on surveillance video throwing a Molotov cocktail at a Hollywood restaurant.
The second incident occurred Monday night at the Broadwalk Restaurant in the 1400 block of North Surf Road.
The video shows a man driving to the back of the restaurant and throwing the cocktail there.
According to police, this is not the first time this perpetrator has attacked the restaurant. The suspect first visited the restaurant on June 24.
Surveillance video of the first incident released by Hollywood police shows the suspect throwing the Molotov cocktail toward the back of the restaurant.
Denis De Almeda, an employee at the restaurant, said they had no idea who the person was or what they wanted.
“Apparently the same guy who attacked us two months ago came again and threw a Molotov cocktail into our parking lot,” he said.
De Almeda said he was grateful that no one was injured.
“Fortunately, no one was hurt and business was not affected today, but it could happen. Many families are working with us,” said De Almeda.
7News cameras captured the burn marks from the Molotov cocktail on the ground.
Even though the cocktail did not harm the business, De Almeda said the prankster’s actions were not a joke.
“It’s really frustrating because nobody has caught the guy yet. The police came today to check everything. I know they’re doing their best, but the guy is still out there. The way he hit us, he can hit anyone else here,” he said.
