Anna, Texas, celebrates the opening of its second fire station

The state-of-the-art facility is designed to improve emergency response and public safety

On August 23, 2024, the City of Anna, Texas, and Anna Fire Rescue celebrated the grand opening of their new Fire Station Two. The event, which included a ribbon cutting (uncoupling of the fire hose), attracted city officials, representatives from Crossland Construction, Conduit Architecture, and local residents.

The 20,000-square-foot station was funded through a voter-approved bond and features six drive-through stations for equipment, sleeping quarters for up to 10 people, and a smart station alert system. The station is strategically located in the Villages of Hurricane Creek development and is designed to improve response times throughout the city. The new station also houses a museum with a vintage 1948 fire truck and a 9/11 memorial plaque that was unveiled during the ceremony.

Mayor Pete Cain and Fire Chief Ray Isom, along with other dignitaries, spoke about the importance of the new facility to the community. “This state-of-the-art facility represents a significant improvement in the city’s emergency response capabilities,” an official statement said. The ceremony concluded with the symbolic disconnection of a fire hose, followed by a tour of the station and an open house for attendees.

Following the event, Anna Fire Rescue posted a Facebook post thanking the citizens of Anna, the City Council, Centurion American and everyone involved for their part in making the station a success. “We are proud and ready to help,” the post concluded.
