Angelina Jolie’s latest airport look includes espadrille platforms by Louboutin

Most of the time, Angelina Jolie follows a simple but effective uniform: a solid-colored dress or a classic top and pants, a great coat, pointy pumps, a timeless bag, large sunglasses and gold jewelry. We know and love her style for its consistency and understated elegance – but every now and then the founder of Atelier Jolie surprises us.

Last Sunday, Jolie was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport, where she added an unexpected summery touch to her travel wardrobe with a pair of platform espadrilles. They were Christian Louboutin’s Calakala shoes in caramel brown suede and calf leather with a braided raffia sole.

The platforms gave Jolie’s look, which otherwise perfectly followed her usual outfit solution, a casual late summer touch. The core of the ensemble was the Mary The star wore a black flowing dress under a matching black coat, paired with black sunglasses and the ultimate luxury travel bag: Dior’s large Toujours Bag in black Macrocannage calfskin with gold DIOR charms.

Jolie’s appearance marks the first time she has been seen in public since son Pax’s scary e-bike accident. The 20-year-old was released from intensive care earlier this month after crashing near a busy area on Los Feliz Boulevard in LA. He was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and suffered head and hip injuries. A source said People that Pax has a “long road to recovery” ahead of him, but his mother Jolie is supporting him.
