America’s new favorite fast food that doesn’t exist in New Jersey

It’s official. America has chosen its favorite fast food restaurants for summer 2024. As expected, there have been changes that affect the overall rankings.

And which New Jersey restaurants made the list? 5 of the 10 chains in the ranking are located in New Jersey. That includes 2 of the top 3.

Still, New Jersey is missing out on the best of the best. The new number one fast food restaurant in America isn’t even close to the Great Garden State.

So which of the top 10 are in New Jersey? Let’s take a look and find out which chains made it to USA Today’s top-rated fast food restaurants that we can also find here.

Starting with #10

Arby’s ranks 10th nationwide with 13 locations throughout New Jersey. Next is Popeye’s with 96 locations here in the Garden State.

Then we skip the roast beef and chicken and eat tacos instead. Taco Bell is ranked 7th in the country with 120 locations here in New Jersey.

These are the fast food restaurants ranked 4th through 10th. And the top 3? Here they are.

The top 3

The good news is that two of the top three voted for are in the Garden State and both specialize in chicken.

And number one? Yes, we don’t have any branches in New Jersey. So which fast food restaurant took the crown this time?

It’s a taco chain called Del Taco. Not only is it not in New Jersey, it’s not even in our area. Not in Delaware, Pennsylvania, or New York, so unless you’re on a road trip, you’ll have to settle for numbers 2 and 3 (check out the full 2024 USA Today rankings of America’s favorite fast food restaurants here).
