American Express announces new lounge at Salt Lake City Airport

Centurion Lounge at Salt Lake City International Airport

American Express customers traveling through Salt Lake City International Airport can look forward to a new lounge starting in 2025.

American Express has announced the opening of a new Centurion Lounge in Concourse B of SLC Airport. The 1,500-square-foot lounge features a full bar with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a coffee bar, a wellness room, premium dining made with locally sourced ingredients and multiple seating options.

The lounge is scheduled to open in 2025 as part of the New SLC airport redevelopment program. It will join 30 other Centurion Lounges in America Express’ portfolio of more than 1,400 lounges worldwide.

“American Express has strong roots in the Salt Lake City community. Many of our colleagues and cardmembers live here, and the city is a popular vacation destination for cardmembers from the U.S. and beyond,” said Audrey Hendley, president of American Express Travel.

The new airport lounge is only accessible to eligible cardholders. According to the American Express website, Platinum cardholders must present a boarding pass with confirmed same-day travel to gain access to a Centurion Lounge. Cardholders are permitted to bring two additional guests, although guest access policies vary by location.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Centurion Lounge to the new SLC International Airport,” said Bill Wyatt, general manager of Salt Lake City International Airport. “Guests will enjoy a welcoming atmosphere where they can relax and refresh during their travels. We are pleased to partner with American Express to bring this unprecedented offering to SLC.”
