Aaron Rodgers And Robert Saleh had such an odd moment on the sidelines during Thursday night’s Jets game that many wondered if the two had argued … but the quarterback insisted after the game that he and his coach were fine.
The embarrassing scene took place in the second quarter of New York’s blowout victory over the New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium … when Saleh reached out to give his star quarterback a hug after a touchdown drive.

Watch the video from the Amazon broadcast where Saleh tried to throw his arms around Rodgers… the quarterback resisted the hug – and mumbled something that apparently made his head coach wince.
The clip caused a sensation almost immediately on social media – and internet detectives went to great lengths to read Rodgers’ lips.
The video went so viral that a reporter actually asked Rodgers about it after the 24-3 win … and he insisted there were no hard feelings whatsoever.
“He’s not usually a big hugger,” said the 40-year-old. “So I didn’t know he was looking for a hug. He also likes to do the chest bump with both hands. He talks a lot about being two points ahead. So I just gave him a bump and said, ‘Two points ahead.’ And that’s what happened.”
Saleh also ignored the encounter … and thus reinforced Rodgers’ statement of the “two-point lead”.

Either way, the Jets are in top form – the win was one of their most impressive in years… and the team now has a long break to process it, as it doesn’t play again until September 29th.
