Jason Kelce’s long-awaited debut on Monday Night Countdown required a trip to the mall.
Kelce, the former Philadelphia Eagles center, left his duffel bag in his truck and had to go to the mall to buy a new shirt, Scott Van Pelt revealed. He did the job, however, and wore a plain white long-sleeved shirt when the show began.
“It fits my belly now. I’ve lost a little weight,” Kelce joked.
“The fact that a Hall of Fame center can shop at Lululemon is awesome, man, that’s a huge accomplishment,” said Ryan Clark.
Kelce’s choice of clothing surprised his brother Travis Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end posted his thoughts on X and expressed surprise that Jason wasn’t walking around shirtless.

Travis’ post noted that Jason made headlines for going shirtless during the Chiefs’ AFC Divisional Round game against the Buffalo Bills last season.
After Travis caught a 22-yard touchdown in the third quarter of the game, Jason was caught on camera celebrating with a beer in his hand and shirtless. Moments later, he hopped out of the suite to talk to fans – still shirtless.
Travis also had high praise for his brother’s “MNF” debut. Responding to a screenshot of Jason on set, he said: “What a natural talent!!”
