What the Fluff? Festival! Somerville over the rainbow: No place like Fluff

Graphic design by Jen Gubicza

What the Fluff? A Tribute to Union Square Innovation is a crazy festival honoring the invention of Marshmallow Fluff. It celebrates Somerville’s proud tradition of innovation with live music, delicious food, sticky games, crazy events and more on Saturday, September 21 from 2-6 p.m. in Union Square (weather permitting, Sunday, September 22).

Leave your sepia world behind. Make all your Technicolor dreams come true. This year’s festival – Somerville Over the Rainbow: No Place Like Fluff – is the place for you. For the 19th year, fluff fans from near and far will gather in the heart of the city to celebrate Somerville’s favorite gooey treat with all possible shades of silliness.

Laugh all day long as you join a colorful cast of characters and explore the delicious, diverse food, rousing musical performances and family-friendly games of this joyous anniversary. This year’s “What the Fluff?” will melt your worries away like lemon candy and have you cheering “Peanut Butter & Bread & Fluff! Oh man!” in no time.

So, put on your most colorful ensemble (red shoes optional), round up your buddies (and Toto!), and follow Marshmallow Road to the most magical place in Somerville. There’s no place like Fluff.

“What the Fluff?” is brought to you by Union Square Main Streets, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the unique character and building strength of the Union Square business district and community, in partnership with the Somerville Arts Council as part of the ArtsUnion initiative to promote cultural and economic development in Union Square.
