Taylor Swift is currently taking a break from her globetrotting Eras Tour and will be at the Chiefs game tonight at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce perform the first concert of his new tour. Or, OK, she’s playing tight end in the first NFL game of the 2024-2025 season.
The Chiefs just won two Super Bowls in a row, so this would be a big debut anyway, but having Swift in the audience makes it an even bigger cultural moment. She attended her first Chiefs game as Kelce’s girlfriend last year on Sept. 24, so we’ve been in the Taylor/NFL discourse for almost a year.
Swift was photographed arriving at the game nearly an hour early in a denim-on-denim look that dropped the bombshell within the bombshell. The 34-year-old wore a denim corset top and matching tiny short shorts, but the real star of the show was a pair of thigh-high patent boots in blood red. She kept her accessories simple, with a green necklace and a couple of gold chain bracelets that matched the hardware on her black box bag. A real Tay banger.
The pop star combined her unusually sexy look with a sweeping, side-swept hairstyle and her signature red lips. Does this side-swept fringe remind you of her? Call-era music video for “Look What You Made Me Do?” Yes. Does that mean that’s some kind of reference? I have no idea.
And what’s happening on the field? Are they running? Swift-like? Kelce recently revealed that Taylor Swift has been designing plays for the team – that’s just how her mind works. But apparently none of that has gotten through to coach Andy Reid yet.
“She was just so open to learning the game,” he said during an appearance at Rich Eisen Show, according to CBS Sports. “She didn’t know much about the rules and everything. I think what makes her so good at her job is that she’s so detailed in every aspect. From the lyrics to the music to the releases and music videos and everything.”
“She’s so detail-oriented and part of it, I think she’s just curious about the profession. I know none of the pieces have reached Coach Reid yet. If they ever do, I’ll make sure everyone knows it’s her creation. She’s a little biased and creates pieces just for me,” he added. “We’ll see if they make it to Coach Reid’s office.” Taylor Swift – Chiefs assistant coach? Crazier things have happened.
