Lil Wayne brings Hot Boys back together at Lil WeezyAna Fest

Lil Wayne is scheduled to reunite with his Hot Boys members at the Lil’ WeezyAna Fest in collaboration with Live Nation Urban, taking place on November 2nd at the Smoothie King Center in his hometown of New Orleans, LA.

The show, produced by Young Money, Dmani and Live Nation Urban, will see Wayne reunited with fellow Hot Boys members Juvenile, BG and Turk. Additional performances from Rob49 and Mannie Fresh are planned. Additional artists will be announced in the coming weeks.

Fans were left a little confused earlier this summer after rumors of a Hot Boys reunion at Essence Fest in June began to swirl. However, Wayne opted not to join his bandmates onstage, instead playing a 20-minute set after Birdman, Mannie Fresh, Juvenile and BG took the stage.

Juvenile had recently claimed that a Hot Boys reunion album was in the works, while Birdman said he hoped the crew would get back together. However, Wayne said he knew nothing of a Hot Boys album and stated he had not recorded anything for the project.

Now, Hot Boys is making its official return, nearly three decades after its debut. “Lil Wayne embodies the spirit of New Orleans and Lil’ WeezyAna Fest is an outstanding showcase of the city’s dynamic and thriving music scene,” says Brandon Pankey, Vice President of Business Development and Operations at Live Nation Urban. “Live Nation Urban celebrates this amazing event and is proud to continue supporting and growing this festival for years to come.”

Tickets go on presale today at 10:00 a.m. PT, with general sales beginning September 6 at 8:00 a.m. PT.
