It’s the week we’ve all been waiting for.
This week, and every other week (except one), will feature real, meaningful NFL games until Super Bowl 59, which will be played in New Orleans on February 9, 2025.
Week 1 begins with a bang, as the two-time defending champion Kansas City Chiefs host the Baltimore Ravens, contenders for the AFC and the Super Bowl. Football continues the very next day, as the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles face off in Brazil on Friday night in the first game of the 2024 NFL International Series.
The first Sunday of the NFL is full of exciting matchups, capped off by an NFC wildcard rematch on Sunday Night Football, where the Detroit Lions host the Los Angeles Rams. And the first Monday Night Football matchup sees Aaron Rodgers return from a torn Achilles tendon and the New York Jets take on the San Francisco 49ers, the defending NFC champions.

When does the 2024 NFL regular season start?
The NFL season begins on Thursday, September 5th with the NFL Kickoff Game between the Ravens and the Chiefs. It is a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship Game, which the Chiefs won.

How to watch NFL Week 1 games
During the 2024 season, the NFL will broadcast its games on various streaming services, including Peacock, Fubo TV and NFL Network. Different games will be shown on different platforms.
Starting with the 2023 season, NFL Sunday Ticket moved to YouTube TV and the service will remain there. Fans can log in to watch all games available beyond digital.
