More than 1,200 different organizations have been named to Forbes’ list of America’s Best Places to Work. What were the best in Georgia?

Delta Air Lines holds the crown of best employer overall and is the only one of the top 5 based in Georgia. The rest of the top 5 from top to bottom include Costco (based in Washington), Apple (from California), Google (from California) and Microsoft (from Washington).

To create the list, Forbes, in partnership with market research firm Statista, surveyed more than 160,000 employees at companies with at least 500 employees in the U.S. Participants were asked how likely they were to recommend their employer to others, and were also asked to rate employers they had worked for, as well as companies they knew in their industry or knew through relatives who worked there. Responses were tallied, weighted, and each employer was assigned a total score.
