Park City Police Report: Driver Stops ‘Middle of Road’

Park City Police recently had to respond to several cases where drivers exited their vehicles or possibly stopped in the lane.

The reports were filed as crowds continued to descend on Park City in late summer. Some of the cases occurred in the center of Main Street, others well outside of Old Town.

The cases included:

  • On Sunday, August 25, at 5:45 p.m., police received a complaint about a vehicle parked “in the middle of the road” on Main Street. The person who parked the vehicle subsequently drove away, police were told.
  • On August 25 at 4:51 p.m., an abandoned vehicle was reported on Queen Esther Drive. Public police records did not indicate how long the vehicle had been seen at that location.
  • On August 25 at 1:35 p.m., an officer stopped a driver in the area of ​​Park Avenue and Thaynes Canyon Drive. According to public police records, the officer stopped the driver after seeing the vehicle “in the middle” of Park Avenue.
  • On Friday, August 23, at 6:36 p.m., police reported a traffic stop along Main Street. Police said it was a traffic stop, but public logs did not provide details.
