A prequel film to the first two films by actor and director John Krasinski A quiet place Chapter, A quiet place: day one was released in theaters on June 28. In this prequel, Nyong’o plays Sam, a terminally ill hospice resident who takes a trip to New York City with other patients.
Without warning, the city is besieged by aliens who are blind but kill anyone who makes a noise. After the first attack, Sam befriends Eric (Stranger Things Star Quinn), a British law student who promises the woman and her companion cat Frodo to help them on a personal mission in the city before joining other survivors on a boat to evacuate the metropolis.
The film was directed by Michael Sarnoski and written by Krasinski and Sarnoski. A quiet place: day one Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou also play roles. Frodo is played by two cats – Nico and Schnitzel.
