Oops! Chelsea’s Noni Madueke ‘accidentally’ called Wolverhampton a shitty place on Instagram and scored a hat-trick against them on the same day

I love that he didn’t deny calling Wolverhampton a shitty place, just that he wanted to post it on his private Instagram account. That’s how you deal with situations. You don’t deny when you start talking too much. You admit that you meant every word, you just didn’t want to make it public. But even more impressive is the way you play against them. The hat-trick speaks volumes, especially considering the boos you got during the game.

I say it all the time but that’s what I wish more of in sports. If you feel a certain way then say it. Stop hiding and immediately backing down when people get mad at you. No, you own it, you back up the sh*t talk and go out and put on a show. That’s what sports is about. I don’t care what sport you’re talking about or what level, sh*t gets talked everywhere. Too many people are so caught up in what other people think of them that as soon as there’s backlash for saying what they think they get scared. At least do that and say you wanted to post it privately and not on a public account.

Not to mention, a hat-trick in 14 minutes is impressive. I don’t care if it’s Wolves or anyone else, if you can get a hat-trick in 14 minutes you’ve had a damn good day. If you can do it while being booed by the entire stadium as soon as you touch the ball you’ve had an even better day. There’s always the debate as to which is better – scoring a game-winning goal at home while the crowd goes wild or silencing the away crowd. Tell me you’re silent when you’re sticking a knife in their hearts any day of the week. That’s one of the best sounds in life, not just sport. If you can silence a crowd that’s clearly out to get you, you’ve definitely won.
