Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter had dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant during their tour stop in Sydney.
The pop stars went to Pellegrino 2000 in Surry Hills on Tuesday night and caused a stir among the stunned guests.
The couple spent $620 on the dinner, which included focaccia, olives and a selection of small pasta dishes, according to Kyle and Jackie O’s producer “Intern Pete,” who caught a glimpse of the receipt. They gave the staff a generous $300 tip, although tipping is not expected in Australia.
It was the first time the 34-year-old megastar had been spotted since arriving in Sydney on Monday.
She is hiding in her accommodation, which is presumably the Crown Sydney.
She will take the stage for the first show of her Eras Tour in Sydney on Friday.
Swift will perform four shows in the city before flying to Singapore, her next tour stop.
The excitement is building because her boyfriend, NFL player Travis Kelce, might be appearing at her shows in Sydney.
Kelce hinted at his travel plans on his podcast New Heights last week, saying he would “take a trip to an island very soon.”
He also said he would not appear on this week’s episode with his brother Jason Kelce, leading fans to speculate that he was in Australia and unable to tape the show.
Speaking live with Today on Tuesday morning, Travis’ father Ed Kelce said he had heard rumors his son would travel south to visit Swift on her Australian tour.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he did,” he told the morning show hosts. “I actually called him recently and to my knowledge he’s on a golf course somewhere right now.
“He plays a lot of golf, but mostly at these charity events, and I think he’s done with that now.”
Kelce was spotted playing virtual golf with friends on Sunday in Parkville, Missouri – not far from Kansas.
