Warren County Park District Releases Park District Survey

LEBANON, OH – As part of its strategic planning efforts, the Warren County Park District has released an online survey so residents can voice their wishes for parks, open spaces and trails in Warren County.

“As we think about the future direction of the Warren County Park District, we want to make sure our plans meet the needs and desires of the people we serve,” said Matt Latham, CEO of the Park District. “To get the most accurate picture of what county residents are looking for, we would love for as many people as possible to take the survey.”

According to Latham, the purposes of the strategic plan are to refine the park district’s mission and vision, set goals and objectives for the next ten years, and determine what Latham calls the park district’s “unique value proposition.”

“To me, the most important outcome of this process is the unique value proposition,” Latham said. “It is designed to highlight the Park District’s unique strengths so that we can complement, not compete with, the great work that other park authorities in the area are already doing.”

The survey can be accessed through the Park District’s website, www.warrencountyparks.com, and is available until August 30.

“Parks, open spaces and trails are important community services that contribute to the physical, mental, economic and environmental health of the community,” Latham said. “Our goal is to do our part as part of our mission to ensure Warren County continues to be one of the best places in Ohio to live, work and do business.”

The Warren County Park District is a countywide parks and green space provider that manages 1,721 acres in 13 parks throughout the county, including its flagship Armco and Landen-Deerfield parks. It is administered by a three-member volunteer board of park commissioners appointed by the county probate judge.
