Sauce Magazine – Bacaro at Italian restaurant Noto in St. Peters launches creative cocktail experience

The monthly pop-up allows you to try unique, off-the-menu drinks

Italian restaurant Noto took the St. Louis restaurant scene by storm when it opened in 2020 and became the No. 2 Best New Restaurant of the year from Sauce Magazine. Earlier this year, Noto opened a second concept behind the main restaurant called Bacaroa Venetian-inspired aperitivo and cicchetti bar, 5105 Westwood Drive, Suite A in St. Peters.

Now, Bacaro is launching a monthly series led by beverage manager Travis Shook called Travis’ Takeover, beginning Wednesday, August 28. The 14 spots at the bar can be reserved starting at 7 p.m. so guests can enjoy an evening of drinks; however, there will be no drink menu on this special night. Instead, guests will share their favorite drinks and preferred flavor profiles with Shook, and he will create something unique for each guest. Whether you’re more into cocktails or spritzes, or just want to learn more about amari, Shook will take you on a journey to rediscover old favorites and gather trivia about selections you may have never heard of.

If you’re not into the unknown when it comes to cocktails, or are simply looking for something more akin to a classic, you might prefer to try one of the nine new cocktails on the fall menu, like the Italian Old-Fashioned or the Bacaro Negroni. The full menu includes seasonal offerings like whipped ricotta, sandwiches, N’Duja oysters, snacks like potato chips and olives, and Italian desserts.

To reserve your spot at the bar for Travis’ Takeover, email [email protected] with the subject line “Bar Pop Up.” Minimum spend is two cocktails per person. In September, Bacaro will celebrate Negroni Week, including a Contratto bar takeover on September 19. To stay up to date on future events, follow Bacaro on social media.
