We have great news about one of the most popular hotels in Disney World!
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is located on the monorail line right next to Magic Kingdom and has seen some changes over the years! New Moana-Themed rooms were introduced in 2021, but now Disney is adding an entire tower to the resort. The Island Tower, featuring Disney Vacation Club rooms, is scheduled to open on December 17, 2024, and we have a HUGE update!
We have been following the construction of the new tower for some time. A few months ago we noticed a building that looked like it could be a restaurant.
Then at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event we got to see concept art for the new restaurant.
Now Disney has confirmed that a new restaurant called Wailulu Bar & Grill come to the Island Tower!
This is a “casual poolside bar and grill” with an all-day menu for lunch and dinner. In the mornings, specialty coffees and grab-and-go pastries are available for breakfast. Disney has said they will reveal more in the future – we can’t wait to see the full menu!
Perhaps the best part is the view. The restaurant offers panoramic views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and Cinderella’s Castle in the Magic Kingdom. It doesn’t get much better than that!
